Just got a protech 4-1 stainless manifold off ebay... used so a few dents and scrapes on the bottom pipes.

Just fitted it and it sounds like its blowing, got a sound coming from inbetween the 4 pipes where they merge.

Has any1 else ever has this? dont see why a weld would jus crack in that place. Could it be an echo down the pipes?

its the design of the collector mate.....
they all rasp.

you wont get rid of the sound unless you put a new 1 on (where the 4 primarys meet into 1 pipe)

nothing around there, burnt my finger trying to feel it and burnt my ear listening for it lol

I've heard if i weld the 4 primaries together it might stop the sound reverberating

thing is the sound appears to be coming from the middle of where the primaries all merge, so if it is a cracked weld i'm not sure how i'd even get to it

I had one and it made the exact same sound.

Characteristic of the manifold I'm afraid.
