Does meguiars scratch x work well on black cars, how good is it at hiding swirl marks and light scratches?

how long do you leave it to dry before wiping off??

anyone had good results from scratch x??

It doesnt hide them, it removes them.

Its good if your willing to put a load of elbow grease in.

Some say rub it in until it dissapears, otehrs say apply it like polish, i.e. put it on, let it dry and take it off.

scratch x wont get swirls out, you ideally need to machine polish it, you may even add swirls using it

If you go over the car 20times it will get rid of swirl marks. Most less abrasive polish I have ever seen

it says a lot of things on the back of the tub, iv seen so much crap said about cleaning products in unreal.

use it to try and get rid of the swirls if you like, if you take me advice you'l save yourself some time and effort, and take it to a bodyshop or someone who specialises in paint restoration

sadly this makes me a numpty

how do you know that said person using it is applying it and removing it correctly? could be using a cloth to remove it with small stones in?

How do you know I was talking about the same said person that you was thinking of?

It does remove swirl marks, just you have to go over the same spot many times

yes and by going over it many times means it doesn't remove swirl marks instantly and therefore takes a lot of time and effort.

taking it to a bodyshop who can get the swirl marks out easily is a far better option if you want perfect paint.

It does remove swirl marks but only slightly. My dad once used it on his black Skyline. He used a combination of G6 and a rotary polisher and then went over with Scratch X.
It's good stuff if used correctly but don't expect miracles.
