I took the bmc off my car, and put the standard air box back in. standard panel filter.
Also swapped my AFM for a new one, since my old one is buggered.
Just gone to start the car and its very grumbly, then idles very poorly.
Each time i go to accelerate, the revs drop and it shakes like mad and practically stalls, when i let off the accelerator it just goes back to idling poorly.
Any ideas why?
Worth resetting the ECU since i swapped a few things?
I left it a bit ticking over, but still idles poorly.
Any help more than welcome

Sounds like the new AFM could be more buggered than the old one

Havn't had problems with my alarm when it died, not sure about resetting the ECU as some people say it does nothing other people say different.
Have you tried swapping the afm's back over?

Hmm, it started to idle and rev better after ticking over a while longer, so i took it round the block.
Runs like crap and each time i dip the clutch to change gear or whatever the revs drop to about 400/600rpm
Then when pulling off again its crap.
Old AFM going back on now.

Thats a cheap remake mate.... not worth the money at all.
It must be a bosch genuine part otherwise you will have no end of issues. Those are made with generic values.
