Its a 8v sri engine 93 model.
Sounds sweet on tick over pretty quiet the only noise comes from the alternator swishing around.
Can go up through the revs slowly to max rpm with no noise but doing the same on a harder more aggressive and it will make a shcecking noise.
I changed the alternator belt thinking it could be slipping but hasnt help the problem at all.
Was thinking to change the alternator just wondering if any body else has had this.
lucky for me if its a massive problem I have another donor engine.

it sounds like its got to be a belt of some description to me.doubt its anything major.

There is only 2 belts im guessing
cam and alternator and the alternator one is new today, cam cant slip otherwise the engine would be  by now
Yeah dosent seem major still pulls well and the power isnt affected when the noise happens.
Any other belts to look out for sure there is only 2

have you taken the belt off and started it up just see if it's quite. While the belts off check the alternator give it a spin see if there's any noise if so then it's that

Its just weird now.
Car seems to tick over different.
Not as smooth on tickover can feel it juddering.
Also has a ticking/tapping noise on tickover which is like one or two taps every 5 seconds and isent affect by rpm so will stay the same amount even if i rev the car.
