was sick of coming out to little pools of gearbox oil so got it jacked up proper and have ofund out my problem


some tool has crossthreaded the plug nut in the gearbox cos it leaks as you drive etc etc.

cost to get it fixed is 50 quid plus VAT from a guy near york. not bad if you ask me

just thought id share my mornings work with you lol at least its nothing biger like a gasket etc.

how much would a new sump have been? May have been cheaper just to replace that?

is above the sump on a gearbox isnt it? looked like it to me anyway.

buy a tap and die (sp) set for less that that, just find one with the right cutting bit for the thread you need
