Problem

occasionally, when driving on country lanes, and go over/down a bump (even at 30mph), i hear a loud knock from the rear left suspension, sometimes a high pitch screetch.
The rear of my car is also very bouncy, is this the suspension thats causing it, (maybe a collapsed shock) and would replacing the rear suspension cure???

could it be anything else??

how much does it cost to purchase standard suspension and have it fitted??

Has the car been lowered?

Its the exhaust knocking on the rear beam.

Get the exhaust clamp tightend up, and get a fat cable tie under the beam

no not been lowered. it was making a loud ratling sound last month, looked under the car and the rubber exhaust mmounts were shredding apart. this definately sounds suspension related

Not a good example, as the clamp hasnt been sorted yet

Mine hadnt been lowered before, and still made the knocking.

its not continous and only happens when going over a dip in the road at high speeds. over every dip i try and slow down now, cos its embarrasing how loud it is

Yup, sounds like its the exhaust hitting the beam mate, go outside, grab your exhaust and wiggle it up and down, if its loose.. its definately it
