Having noticed the recent topic about ear stretching, I thought I'd see what people thought about tongue splitting.

I've got my tongue pierced, and have seriously thought about the idea of splitting it. I hear it can be done over time with fishnig wire & minimal pain (in relation to other piercings). If done gradually, I believe it doesn't effect speach either.

Yay or Nay?

It's no more mutilation than a tattoo.. infact less, as it heals up after a few years without any intervention. A tattoo is permanent without some form of surgery.

Corsash: It was a joke.

After reading about it, and also the positive response from having my tongue pierced made me consider it.
I read that some people can learn to move both parts independantly.... something that is supposed to work a treat on a clit

It's not something I'd be willing to do right now without further justification.. I just wondered what other people thought of it. Not that it would effect my choice in anyway, I'm just interested.

Yeah, they heal up after a couple of years... I think the problem with that is that it's difficult to then get another piercing if you wanted to.

I think there are measures can be taken to prevent the split healing up, but eventually it will happen.

im NOT going to watch that vid, but im guessing tongue splitting is cutting down the middle of the tongue so there are 2 flaps either side?

If so then you are a jackass.
