Depending on what time my lectures are this year I might have to change jobs. My normal 9-5 hours can't stretch to accomodate what I need
Surely you can sort of pick your own hours if your an instructor? (within reason)
Pay wise it's OK, and although it might get boring after a while I wouldn't be doing it for a very long time. Anyone got some more info they can give me?

Its not great pay if you dont intend on doing it for too long as you pay for your car from the school (dont think you can, or would want to, use your own).
Girl I used to work with (yes Russ, work!!) learnt to become an instructor with BSM and it took her a good few months (cant remember exactly, more than 4 IIRC though) but once she had done it she could easily pick and choose around other stuff when to give lessons.

My mate has started teaching to drive, he did the course and passed, he now is part of a franchise and took £800 last week and he's only been doing it full time for a couple of months now.

Don't you have to sign with them for so long as well?
Kind of knew you'd pay for the contacts, wasn't sure about the car. Suppose you could get one yourself, least you'd get the VAT back for it. Some places offer the he-man controls free too (the extra set of pedals)
If anyone has any other suggestions of jobs that are flexible & pay OK then please let me know

So he payed the £2800 & then once he'd passed he set up on his own? Or is he working with an agency?

I have a spare set of HE-Man pedals in my garage. Excellent condition, used in a 1.2 Corsa C. Anyone know how much they're worth?
