did you get it through who you know, or what you know? seems a couple of people around me have gotten wicked jobs recently, but only cause they have contacts.

god-damnit, i have none! i reckon good positions are usually who you know, or certainly at least they get you there quicker...

My job is through what i know, but getting stuff like work experience for uni and jobs around uni is through who i know

actually, strictly speaking my two jobs before my current one were through other people, but they werent exactly amazing anyway!

my mate nearly got a job with carisma cause his dad knew jamie shaw!

I got an interview through knowing someone in the company and from the interview i got the job, so i'd say a bit of both

Got my job at Balfour Beatty because my Dad's a project manager, my brother's a surveyor and my sisters a train planner there. It would have been rude for them not to give me the job

Had no experience of surveying or working on the railway. It's an awesome job

who i know i'm afraid. i work for my uncle, knew very little when i started the job but he knew that and was more than willing to train me, whereas other people may not have given me the light of day

i got the interview for my job from someone i knew, but so did 2 others, so then 3 of us had to have interviews and i got the job on what I know and what i can do, so technically im both

Same First took me on for work experience for 2 weeks, then summer holidays, and then when i quit college early and I've been here since

Coming out of uni it's more of who you know

Hopefully in a few months it will be bacuse of what i know but then i'd like to stay with the same company.

i got my job at ford's mainly for what i know but my dad works there and helped me find the particular job, made me apply for it

I got my job for both. My lecturer at uni knows i'm very skilled at CAD so when a phone call came in asking for somone to do some drawings for a guy who needed some CAD doing he passed on my name. I then impressed enough for him to take me on as a full time designer

neither...

i got put on a random work experiance in secondary school because i couldnt be arssed sorting out my own, i did ok but messed about mostly. when i was in college i saw the old MD in town and got talking, he gave me the number to the new office and worked part time for a while, then they offered me a decent job and three years later im still here

it makes me wonder what i might be upto if i didnt do my work experiance here!

in our job (plumber) Its a case of who you know to get the best jobs

Its the way with me and my dad that were in touch with the boss`s of soo many companys we can jump from company to company quite easily and make decent money as a 4th year apprentice Ive already had 4 different jobs

all counts towards the experience

My last Job it was through Who I know mainly as my mum is a manager there.

My new Job is in the local council, and I don't know a sole, so I think that was based with what I know
