As my headunit keeps loosing memory, i swapped the yellow and red wires. However now my headunit doesn't power up properly and I can only eject the cd tray. Can anyone help? Cheers

All ive done is cut the wires and changed them around, not connecting them properly. But I just changed them around again and it works fine. So its just when I swap the red and yellow it goes dodgey.

hmmm. i just cut the red and yellow to swap them around. Also used the blue wire for the remote for my amp. Once swapped it only ejects but then if I put them back its fine. Unless it also needs the blue connected? Cheers

Anyone know what the blue wire is for and using it for the remote affects the memory loss? Cheers

Also if you have used the blue as a remote it still needs to be connected to the headunit I believe. I took a feed from mine bit still left them connected.

So i want to wire the Red from the headunit, yellow and red from the loom all together. And leave the yellow from the headunit cut?
As for the blue, ive connected the remote to the blue from the headunit and left the one from the loom unconnected. Is that ok?

All you need to d is check which wire is the ignition controlled 12V and which is the permanent live using a volt mter. Then connect theyellow to your ignition feed and red to you battery feed. roblem solved. Ignor the blue one. Doesnt matter if its connected or not.
