the question is simple.
what would handle better, say for arguments sake, the 4wd is 200kg heavier.
would you please state your reasons why you selected the option you did

I can see an arguement for both options. I think the FWD car would need an experienced driver that could use the power without making the car understeer, wheel spin etc.

i said 4wd, due to being able to get on the power better..
but i guess a well setup fwd wouldn't be that bad,

technically, the car with better grip/traction in the corner would be quicker. which would be the 4wd car

Ive said 4wd just for the fact IMO as four wheels are being powered they would provide more grip?

Then theres the once rolling arguement.
You would think the 4wd car would be better in the corners though yes.

I'd probably choose 4wd as i'd of thought it would keep more power down in the corners as fwd would just spin and understeer. And cant you adjust the torque/power ratio with some 4wd systems?

if both was set up good, then definatly 4wd,
but a well set up fwd with decent tyres, diff and such would be better than a shity setup 4wd on crap tyres

i am talking about just the handling aspect, obviously once out the corner the lighter fwd is quicker, but overall for balanced handling round corners, i cant see it being the case

assuming both cars are properly set up for the track.

Would you not be able to go into corners quicker though? As fwd's just seem to carry on going straight if you approach too quickly, obviously they both have grip limits too

I'd say 4wd is alot better for higher speed cornering so I vote 4wd.

then 4wd, i would choose, as it should have more grip, with all 4 wheels pushing it along, instead of trying to understeer of the track
