In december i get 1st year no claims and can insure few things in time lol...heres the options...
1.)Keep my 1.4 sport and make it look the tits
2.)Sell it to my sister and get a 1.6 sport and tune
3.)Get a c20xe in my sport (1.4 is on 60k lol)
4.)172 next year
5.)Join the frenchies (106 gti/Saxo VTS)??
6.)Save lots Astra Gsi/SRi turbo next year?
7.)Other...suggestions welcome

id not bother with 1.6 is 20xe is in the options as its better off to spend the cash doing that than tuning a 1.6, will cost more in the long run for not much more poke than a 20xe in my opinion.

are you about 18 or 19? or older? if you're 18 or 19 and getting your 1st ncb then i would either stick with the 1.4 or get a 1.6 and tune a little, not too overboard. then even after your second year i think an astra turbo is a little optomistic as insurance will be very high, unless you have lots of it and the insurance doesn't bother you

how much a fairly decent gti/vts going for these days??? what problems they suffer from gearbox...???i know they are french before someone askes. think they might be a bit more fun than my sport, need more poke! the XE is probably the choice that will be most fun but cost of conversion? and reliability are summat i gotta consider i guess

im 22 going on 23 mate so insurance aint too bad i just aint got all that much cash...1400 sport cost me £1250 this year going down to £620 this year...but dont mind paying £1200 again for something with more power and bit better handling if i can get a gud price for my sport. astra turbo will cost me about £1280 i think it was in may (2 years driving, 1 ncb)...cus im abit older me thinkgs

I've heard but will be a higher mileage than the current 60k 1400 lol...mileage is jack though if its looked after i guess...
Pricing is a factor as cant be doing the conversion myself as i dont know enough!
What the mpg figures? wud be interesting to know what can be done on a full tank...might have just been the first to ask it
