I'm not all that clued up on this HD stuff but I want a new TV soon ish.
I know 1080p is the best to go for but I can't afford it so I won't bother.
Can someone explain what the 360 and PS3 offer with regards to HD?
Someone said 360 isn't full HD or something?
Thanks,
James

360 is hd but not hdmi
although the elite is.
360 offers 720p over component, ps3 and 360 elite up to 1080p over hdmi, although is pretty pointless if you dont have the tv lol, a lot of people reckon they cant tell much difference between 720p and 1080p anyway, as far as games go

SO even if I get a HDMI cable, my 360 will only do 720p?

If you have an xbox without an hdmi port you can't get an hdmi cable for it.
If you have one with a port and a cable it will do 1080p.

Do any of the non-elite 360s have HDMI ports?
Sorry I don't really know much about it.
I'd just like to be able to play Pro Evo in HD

No only the Elite is HDMI, but I doubt you will notice a difference. I have'nt actually seen an Elite up and running but the Component HD is amazing.

You can still play in hd even on the ones without hdmi, just not 1080p, which doesn't matter if you aren't buying a 1080p tv anyway.
I don't know if they currently all have hdmi but the rumour mill suggests they will all have them soon.
