is it as easy as ringing up and just saying i wana cancel it and they might charge me a cencellation fee?

Will lose NCB canceling it early though. Probably know that though.

i think they'd only charge you if you cancel it within 2 weeks of opening/renewing your insurance

You dont loose your NCB, you just dont gain the one you would theoretically be earning from the policy

Yep. Was easy for me. They said they would cancel then send a letter saying how much you get refunded if any and how much you owe if an installmant is due to go out.

They will let you go, as even if its cheaper wont be worth it still if you think about it

been with em for about 3 years or more now the policy in question i have had for about 15 months or so

i have to return my certificate of insurance to them within 7 days...

i didnt get one when it renewed so ill just send them sum random bullshit haha

If your cancelling to change mid way through a policy, your wasting your time you do realise?

If you take out a policy and decide to cancel it 6 months into the policy, you are entitled to a letter from your insurer stating you have 6months NCB, i did this with Norwich Union.

You could then take out a new policy and after 6 months you have 1yrs NCB, cancel it again and start a new policy with a full years bonus.

it's an offence not to return the certificate, i didnt bother returning mine to norwich union as i no longer had the car and i didnt get any comeback.
