My mate has a Vectra SRi 140

It has the standard CD player with controls on the steering wheel.

When the heaters\blowers are on no.4 (max) he cant turn the volume down on the steering controls but he can turn it up.

When the heaters are on 1,2, or 3 the steering wheel controls are fine

Is number 4 drawing power away from the volume down button somehow?

i once had a car in at work that when u pressed the horn the radio turned itself up lol. that was caused by the horn buttons, but i would trace the wires and see if there any chaffed wires or shorts. just a sugestion.
