how did you get use to making chords with your little finger?
im self taught and i taught myself the lazy way but now im moving on to harder songs im struggling with my little finger, probably doesnt help that i probably have rhoumatism too
tips/advice?

just watch videos and youtube , sometimes u need to use your thumb too in some stuff (which i didnt relise when i first learnt tears in heaven. www.ultimate-guitar.com is a good website for tabs and tips!
i taught myself, but i could play drums up to grade 6 before, so that helped!
what sort of songs are you learning at the moment

I didn't have any trouble with my little finger. I think Matt H had a bit of trouble though, probably a northern thing.

cheers for the replies, yeah i use ultimate guitar all the time and ive started watching youtube videos
i play all sorts really, ive got a guitar in drop c and one in e but im struggling with really technical bits like the intro to Atreyu - The Crimson
cant really explain what the problem with my finger is, i just kinda cant press down with it
is it worth getting one of those finger exercise things?

Drop D + distortion pedal + one finger lol, pretty much sums up me playing a guitar.

glad to hear there's some guitarists on here!! 
strengthen up your fingers with 1st - 4th fret runs on all strings...
D/D sus 4 is good practice also, all about the hammer-ons mate...

If you want to strenthen that little finger do excercises with it. Hammer on's and pull off's with it will give it good strength. Or simple scales.
