opinions, experience,
im looking at getting one, well trading one for my 12v it has a problem with power steering, well a whining noise but al works okay,

any ideas?

The general word from this garage is "don't buy a rover!"

We hate getting them in for services or part exs.

He said keep an eye on head gasket, around 60k they go apparently

'97 is bubble shape?

The engines get a bit of bad press.

My mate had a '94 220 coupe and it was cool. Very very quick and looked quite sporty with the skirts and wheels imo

that whining noise is easyily sorted.well could be.had that on my old vectra.emptied the power steering fluid. wacked some new gear in the and wey hey all good.

Yes bubble hatchback but there wasn't a bubble coupe lad

no its the 216 coupe same shape as the 220, this ones just had new head and new clutch unsure of milage didnt look....

iv been reading reviews and they get mixed opinions, if they work there fine, if they dont ur screwed lol

my cars pretty much a shed i need something bigeer and tbh he wants mine which i paid very little for and 200 cash tempted but need a reliable carm, and obviousley rover no longer exist..

Rover parts are'nt an issue, I just think you could probably get a better car for the money.

They have the K series Honda engine, so parts is no problem.

They are nice cars, just watch leaky t-bars. Get one with the facelift dash, much better.

They are steals now as well

rover engine parts arent a problem, although a lot of other parts are on back order for months lol

my dad used to have one and i loved it, personally i would go for it.

97 they dont use the honda engine anymore in them its there own K series engine.

headgaskets go on them, starter motors, rear suspension bushes have to take axel off to get at them.

ye this one is a steal...my car plus 250, i dint pay much for my car, has got 97k on clocks bit high but has a fair bit of history, i may go have another look tonight
