Well checked the oil the other day as there was some tapping coming from the engine, but it was dark. Checked it before, and there was literally none at all. No oil light came on, but then again my petrol light doesnt work either. Hope the engine isn't fucked

I checked mine a couple of weeks ago, don't so it regularly to be honest as my engine has never used oil since I have had the car (two years).

Noticed it was now on minimum, which is still fine, but i was a bit worried it had used some. Wiped dipstick and checked oil level 3 times to make sure it was reading right, so then put about 800 mls in which took it just below max. Car hadn't been driven for 2 days by the way.

Checked it today, after not driving it since Tuesday, and was about 600 ml above the max mark!

Confused?

i always check mine, but the head on my corsa knackered itself because there was a blockage so it was running dry for weeks. Cost me 400 fat ones. Dang.

That's odd?

Well I put the dipstick in today, took it out.... nothing, bone dry. Did it again waited a few mins, took it out, bone dry. It was so dry i put my finger at the end of it and i felt that it was dry

I've had my pressure light come on before , fooking garage where I bought the car didnt screw the filter on properly so the filter blew off denting the raditor in the process . Was lucky that i turned engine off and dipped the clutch whilst coasting to a layby
