What form do i need to fill out and send off if i want to remove a plate from a car but not stick it straight onto another (gotta buy one first)

Also will i get back my old number plates?

gotta put it on retention i did mine 2 months ago

£80 to do it and £25 to keep it on retention for a year

DVLA website should have more info
