We had a letter today from the council saying that they are proposing to introduce a traffic calming method but putting in speedbumps. Looking at the plans that they have drew up they are deciding to put in a speedbump which looks directly outside our drive and another exit that we own directly opposite our house. It is land opposite our house and sometimes we have vehicles go in and cut the hedges and livestoke ( a horse ) that would have to walk over the speedbump to come in for the night.
Is there any sites that can help us write up a decent letter to the council against this proposition?
has anyone had simlar problems and advice is welcome..
thanks

I'm sure farm vehicles and a horse can navigate a speedbump successfully.
As for having a speedbump outside your house, you might be able to argue that it creates issues with your driveway, but I doubt it.

its not reli a busy road its just that it goes from 60mph to a 30mph from a mile away from our house and we have alot of the older generation of people in the area so they dont like cars going up and down the road at 30mph. sometimes we have the odd lorry come up and down but thats it
