I see my friends seperately quite a lot of the time as some I work with and play football with, one I usually go drinking with on my own, he goes on holiday to see his parents so we go round to his and my other mate (his house mate) does a bbq. Last year we all socialised together but now its very rare, although everyones out on Friday.
When I'm out with everyone but the lad who goes to see his parents they slag him off, when I'm out with him he slags them off, and I receive massive e mails at work telling me about the latest get togethers we've missed out on! Its getting to the point now where I don't know what to say, partly because I'm running out of things to say and partly because I just can't be bothered with bitching all the time!
Come the end of Friday night I'm expecting people whinging to me about other people. God knows what they all say about me!
Just my friends or is this normal!

17-21 years selective bitching within the group of 'friends'
21-27 years selective bitching about who is with who, or who has bought what house.
27-35 years bitching about who has divorced who and the 'kids'
After that point I gave up, I now spend 99% of my time on my own or with my missus

Yeah i've been in this exact situation. Nights out always ended up with things being said to upset/anger someone else in the group of lads.
TBH, i dont have time for close mates anymore so it doesnt bother me

Not much bitching goes on with us ifact very rare as the girl who used to do it has fucked off and doesn't come out with us any more.

i have seperate groups of friends. friends from school, friends from work, frinds i play football on saturday, friends from sunday football and friends from 5aside. might sound like more than there are, but i find that because no one knows anyone from the other groups, im not really caught between any bitching as such.

I don't get this. Most of my mates, even the ones that are 18-20 have grown up enough to not bitch about each other. Anyone has a problem, then the first person to know is the person who they have the problem with.

Noticed this wi my sis mainly, they all bitch about which ever friend is not there that night then when the other friend is there they bitch about another who isnt there.
