will a 16v head from an early 1.2 16v bolt on to a 1.2 8v block?

might aswell get a 1.2 16v engine because it's a group 3 car insurance so should be cheap but obviously more expensive than eg an sxi to insure

yh but its to much to change the engine for 8 for valves! so i hopeing the blocks would b the same

block's will be same, but pistons wiring and management will be diff...
so basically will need a full 16v engine anyway, so pointless doing it
