Peeps

Next mod i've been thinking about is painting my bonnet in chroming effect, like so:





and if you read max power like the full chrome bmw m3.

now i no what processes are involved in creating the effect, i was just wondering if anyone new of any bodyshops that have done it or are able to do it. cheers.

iirc chroming is acid not paint

it looks white in the second pic aswell. ive got a pic of a supra somewhere done in all chrome. will post it up if i can find it

No it's not, it's a 1.4, the front end is from a Lupo 3L, which had a 1 litre engine.

i new this would be some peoples opinions, but tbf nobody liked my wheels untill they were on my car. i want to be different and i think it could work.

i was actually going to buy rota JSPL's for my blue corsa untill i crashed it, doing something different isnt always a good thing though, not only is propper chrome paint expensive, there is a lot of labour in it, you may regret it if you dont like it once its done

The only problem with 'chrome' paint is it's always cloudy and doesn't look any good.

If you could get an aluminium bonnet and polish/lacquer it, it might work.

yeah i supose that would be alot cheaper aswell... i may give it ago on a smaller metal item first and see how it goes

cheers mate good find see to me that effect doesnt look cloudy at all and if it does its only because its reflecting them!!

the main reason i'm sticking with the paint idea is because i want to keep my badboy bonnet, by polishing and laquering your going to see a whole lot of filler!!

aluminium panels are mainly used for motorsport and therefore wont really fit ur car that well, similar to f/glass..
