me and my mate both got 1.4 corsa's


his is a 1.4 sport and i got a 1.4 sri 16v

and we were both going to go get a remap and he went to one guy to find out a price and the guy tried to say he wouldnt remap it cause the car wouldnt handle it


he tried to say the 1.4 engine isnt built well enought to remap it.

this guy is talking shit right??

what mods have u both done for it to be worthwhile remapping it?

mines got:


4:2:1 custom manifold
cat back custom system with dual backbox's
panel filter
i got a reciept with the car of it having the cams done so its camed
i was also told it was chipped not sure on this one though

only thing i still need to do is get an inlet manifold


just wondering if a remap is worth it

Depends what you term worth it.

You may increase power with those mods but we're talking perhaps a few horse power later up the rev range for what is probably going to come in at a few hundred pound.

Perhaps worth waiting until you have other mods that would benefit from it.

You wont see much of a gain, it can be remapped tho.

Aye, but no point in doing anything with the standard inlet on there. TB's and standalone management or aftermarket inlet and re-map.
