The mfd in a friends car doesnt seem to work atall, so advised him on getting a replacement one and trying that... still nothing
Is there a fuse for it different from the one for the headunit/interior light/hazard switch etc
Any help greatly appreciated

check the back of the mdf..
sometimes the solder breaks and it stop's working may need resoldering..
also check the bulb's, if they dont work, you might not be able to see it

cheers mate, when u say the solder do u mean on the MFD of wiring block?
and also do u know what fuse its off?? many thanks!

if you open the mdf up, you'll see where the block join's the circuit board, it's usualy break's there

does the cd player work if so then there is a plug on the standard stereo that has the mdf controls on it one of the wires needs to be permantly fed
the fuse for the mdf is the same fuse as the radio,central locking and its far left in fuse box think its a 20 amp fuse
