hi i know there r 2 diffrent types early and late but im not to sure what my engine is and was hopein that someone could help me out as my engine is round my mates and i want to buy some parts.
the engine came out of a cavilier L reg which i guess is 1994?
transmission - gearbox?? i know 5 speed but would this be an f20
just need to know early or late and what gearbox thank you

does it have a dizzy or a coild pack? Cav xe will be a F20 unless its been changed some time in its life.

I thought cav's only came with xe's in H,G,and J reg cars. And some later sri's

thats a early one mate its got a dizzy the coil pk bolt further bk i have a late one in ma corsa

Whooahh... yeh i'm blind.
Wonder what that was doing in an L-reg donor car though... Mine was a Dispac one from my Cally.

mine was a dispac from an L reg too mate so god knows what it was doing must of been a left over engine either that or someone done a replacement on it
it did actually take me quite a few looks i almost had to go check mine from my car i think the pic dont help to be honest makes the dizzy look like a coil pack lol

yeh this is what i thought would vauxhall be able to tell me r there any codes on the engine it self
