Well, Bio Diesel 
If you live in the Birmingham area then there is a Bio Diesel filling station near the Bullring. They charge 79p a litre and I have been running it for a few days now with no problems, even when cold starting....

Audi say you aren't meant to use Bio-diesel if you have a DPF. Which mine has. Not willing to risk voiding warranty

Diesel Particulate Filter. Stops all the soot and other crap escaping so diesels can meet the new emission regulations. Also means you dont have to have a downturned exhaust

The companies that have approved 100% biodiesel are VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda.

Yea, it's practicly the same weight as mineral diesel so you just go and fill up with the stuff. It has it's own standard and ISO number...

it says they have approved it for vehicles made between 1996 and 2004. so basically all the ones that are out of warranty by now

It depends on what you get. This station sells BD100 (100%), but you can get BD50 from other places, or you just mix half and half in the tank...

I pay about 50p per litre for cooking oil, and run it 100% on that with no modifications.

My mate runs his S reg Mondeo on cooking oil.
Its harder to start on cold mornings but otherwise is completely fine.
Its just a run around until he get his B20B3 Civic on the road...

yeah i fill the road with unburnt chip fat every morning but its a cheap smoke around that I care very little about. I even put petrol and some other liquids in the tank an its always runs without fail.

when the winter gets colder u'll ahve to put some normal deisel in with it or it'll freeze over. neighboring farmer started putting it in his tractors when it first came out, didn't listen 2 advise and when we ahd a hard frost all his fuel tanks were froze solid.

Its normal deisel but with dye in isnt it, Garage up the road sells it, I have 2 massive jerry cans in the garage
