Something to do with it being Alcohol I reckon. Not sure on the exact reason though.

but surely if it was because of alcohol they wouldnt be allowed the same sponsor when they play in the premiership.

I also think it's somwthing to do with the CL sponsors. Isn't it Amstel or something? Might not be happy with Carlsberg being branded on 11 players.

ye, basiclly your not allowed a sponsor that conflicts interests or the same with the cl sponsors, so emirates stadium being called ashburton road (i thnk) etc etc iirc

In certain countries your not allowed to advertise certain things in sport.

Like in the UK when they banned all tabbaco companies from advertising in F1, they have a simular thing in France with alcohol IIRC

CL stop you advertising nike in the stadiums, as they are sponsored by adidas, so at old trafford on champs league games, half of the tick is covered in black

Your not allowed any sponsorship whatsoever to be shown during a champions league game, you would not believe the lengths they go to on a European match night at Parkhead.

Did the tour last week and they have to even tape up the setanta signs around the dugouts and put the star champions league logo on every single section, tedious as fuck!

EDIT: unless it's Uefa sponsorship!
