Doing my Marketing part-time work, I'm spending longer in front of computer screens (even longer than Corsasport ) and I am needing my glasses again.

The ones I have a pretty old, and uncomfortable.

Does anyone know of any good spectacle deals on the high street - I have fairly good access to most shops.

Not too worried about Buy 1 Get 1 Free, because I only need 1 pair.

More after money off etc.

In a local independent Opticians, there is 30% off Bench glasses for students. Wondered if anyone can beat that on the high street?

Go go go.

You should always wear glasses infront of the computer with antireflective lenses.

You will find with uni work and the high level of reading you have to do your vision will deteriate a bit.

I wouldnt go for the cheapest as you will find you get what you pay for.

What sort of money you looking to spend?

I work in optics btw

See if your company will give something towards the cost of your specs for VDU use.

They do - but I'm only part-time/temporary, and only just started, and can't really be arsed with the hassle. Plus you have to have an eye examination to say that you actually need the glasses for VDU - I know I do.

Fad - I do find that actually. Aren't antireflective lenses ok to use whilst reading books, driving etc, or can they only be used in front of the computer?

I'm not too worried about spending money on the look - just want them to be comfortable, and invest in the lenses, especially as you just told me that.

I have no idea what things cost - I know they aren't cheap so might need to save.

You'll need an upto date (2 years) eye test in order to get specs.
