Cars going to be very cold, and might start to get damp inside especially being a soft top.
I'd be wanting it warmed up even if to keep the inside dry and damp free!

Yeh i think if i get him to start it but leave it running for half hour or so; or even get him to give it a couple of runs as its all taxed an insured. Was thinking about takin the battery off but the car is all alarmed and would prob invalidate my insurance!

Ah, alarmed. Not good. Can you sort out a trickle charger?

Prob not as the car is outside on the drive and the battery is in the boot.

You could bring it with you.
Where abouts in Aus are you going. You could come and visit the GSi's and we'll get some pics to post up on CS.

I went to America for 3 months, disconnected the battery on my corsa and when I came back, plugged it in and hey presto... started first time.

dont cover it up with a car cover either, will trap the moisture and promote rust

dont leave the handbrake on, put some wooden blocks or similar under wheels and leave in gear.

No unfortunatley not, s2K gets the garage!!
Prob a good idea to get the cover taken off on dry days, want to put it on the avoid teh frost getting the better of the soft top.
Will do the bricks under the wheels tho, thats a good idea
