Say the engine and gearbox is worth £500
Carbon bonnet £300
Softstars £400
Plus all the extras and then the shell itself and the hassle of doing the conversion yourself.
Id say its worth it

You won't get £400 for Softstars now tbh. It would be worth £2000 if it was mot'd. No chance without it.

it wont get an mot though because it will have to be logged as a 2.0 to pass emissions, and then he wont be able to afford insurance on it because im guessing he is quite young.
what a penis

Wouldnt need to be logged as a 2litre for an mot?
Just explain to the examiner thats its had the conversion and they would test it as a 2litre.

Had to log mine as a 2l for the MOT when the XE first went in, otherwise it comes up as a 1600 and the emissions had to be tested against that.

Well i done my apprenticeship in an mot garage and if someone said theyd changed the engine we would never check if it had been logged on log book just read the databook and check the emissions the new engine should be giving out.

as every one ellse has sed you wouldnt need to change it over, just book it in and tell them its had a bigger engine and there wont be any problems. i had to do it with my escort rs 2000 van, running 180 bhp, and still registard as a 1.8 diesel, and there was no problems.
