Why is it that there something satisfying about smahing ICE on ponds?
At work we have a Pond now we get a 5 min break every hour, but as me and a few guys dont smoke we tend to piss about down by the lake, the last few days its been frozen over so we have spent every break throwing everything we can find into it
Today its frozen the most and i cant wait till 10.30 to get out there and have a smash!!
Ever since i was a kid i have loved doing it
I took this photo this morning at 8, you can see all the crap we left on it yesturday

and my big stake thing i chucked in yesturday

You tried to smash a layer of ice with a tennis ball daimo
Would you like to borrow timmy mallets hammer, that should do the trick

Yeah it is strangely satisfying! Haven't done that since I was a wee kid but I used to love skimming things over frozen ponds to make that pinging sound.

ha ha, nahh, used some sticks. Very satisfying to smash through.
Tennis ball in the water is "MEANT" (but complete BS) to stop the water freezing over as its moving about. But thats rubbish as I found out this morning. Pulling out a tennis ball surrounded in ICE like saturns rings

I thought the idea of the ball was that the ice would freeze around it, you can then just pull the ball out and you have a little air hole?
