As my turbo at the moment is dead, i've been getting some quotes on fixing it or making it a hybrid turbo. The price is only an extra £150 so come new year i'll be getting one of them.

So my main question is, who does live remaps for dervs? How much? Will my superchip be enough?

Cheers, Steve.

My mate with his golf diesel arranged one of these for a group of us

I turmed up with my astra gsi turbo and took one look at the dodgy old transit and fooked off

His golf seems a lot better thouh, although the guy told him that his bho has gone from 115 to 160 which i find hard to believe.

The same day the guy ruined an audi a4 turbo, glad i stayed away

not yet mate, its a very tricky ecu to work with. I am going to a company early next year to look into doing some piggy back ecu's for them.

When I had a 2.0 Vectra Estate out of works old pool cars, I found it an absolute dog. My Clio picked up quicker.

Hopefully the remaps makes it much more responsive

the 2.0 dti standard is 110 bhp. remap will add around 20-25 bhp and 40-50 lb/ft of torque.

I sent my ecu away to a guy and he remapped it for 100 quid.

He could be a dodgy guy in a transit but so far it has been fine, no smoke, pulls through the rev range, everything i'd expect from a map anyway.

I don't know if vaux ones are significantly different ror if mine will cause my engine to die in 1000 miles but so far i'm much happier with my 100 quid one than i'd have been with a 500 quid one with a few extra bhp.

99-100 bhp standard for the 2.0 DTI engine. I've already had it superchipped at Well lane then a RR after. It came up with 134 bhp and over 200 lb/ft.

But he gave me a chip that he told me the standard map is on that. So will you want that or not bothered?

I'll be happy if a propper remap sorts me out 90 bhp but 300 lb/ft coz it's to tow my Corsa to track days.

So thats why i'll be wanting things remaped when i've sorted out a hybrid turbo.

anything over 300lb'ft in a smallish car is unusable imo.
