Hi All,

I need some advice on what to do with my corsa spot. It is a 1.6 99'v with a full Vauxhall service history and in very good condition with 76K miles on the clock.

However it has developed a problem - the car starts to over heat whilst driving at any speed. It is because the coolant tank keeps emptying, obviously a leak. I can't see any visual signs of a leak but there is a mayo like liquid on the end of a dip stick. This makes me think the HG or something is on the way out (I am not mechanically minded).

So financially what is the best option?
1 Sell the car with the problem - roughly how much do you think I would get??

OR

2 Fix the problem - likely to be a rebuild or new engine - I assume this is going to expensive??

OR

3. Any other suggestions :/

if its the head gasket then no need for a new engine mate just get the headgasket done! cars worth more running

just do the head gasket however on the 16v that cost anywhere from 300 - 500 if you get it done garage.
