Nice idea but if you have a 2008 car and there's a circuit built in 2012 you still won't be able to go fast.

Unless they do an ECU upgrade with more circuit data. Seems a bit sledge-hammer:nut to me.

take out your gps receive and hide it at silverstone

Though maybe the car can't cope with a 200mph top speed. That's the reason why BMW and Merc limit thier cars to 156mph.

Of course it can't - not every day anyway.

And at least if it fails at the track they won't get a warranty claim.

Did you see the links off that pistonheads page that show the video of the GTR doing 0-60 in 3.3secs and 11.6 1/4mile!!!

Jesus, this car looks amazing i am so desperate to drive an R34 let alone ever get the chance to have a go in one of these bad boys atleast this time its going to be in the US that means its accessible to anyone

One would assume that updating the circuit data would be done in the same way that you would update the maps used by the GPS software... New DVD or main dealer update?
