i earn £21202.48 basic a year
£407.74 a week

Assuming you have a tax code of 510L:

Allowance before tax = £5100

therefore balance left = 21202 - 5100 = £16102

taxed at 22% on £16102 = £3542 tax paid

Total you take home for a year:

5100 + 12560 =

£17660

yeah just done it says 311.47 a week

im taking home £295 but thats after pension and union fees

I had to ring the tax office up, stated roughly my income and they posted a letter with my tax code to give to my employer or they posted a letter to both me and my employer can't remember

well your meant to multiply that number by 10 and thats how much you can earn before getting taxed.. the letter l can be for emergency tax though

im on the same code as mark..
