Right-oh, have a '94 ('L' reg) Fronterror 2.0 Sport. Tested (March I think but will check) and taxed until end of Feb, possibly end of March.
Electric windows, cd player, expensive/flashy speakers, power steering, towbar, sunroof and cool arrangement of rear windows and roof. Basically the rear side windows and tailgate window can be removed, ditto the roof to make a sort of semi convertable.
Circa 98,000 on the clock and runs fine. In fact drives much nicer than far newer ones I've been in. It runs in 2wd and has a four wheel hi and four wheel low transfer box thing for off road fun. It's ace off road, not the most powerful 4x4 but also p*ss easy to service and repair, reasonable on fuel and has Vauxhall's fantastic 8V engine. I got it round a few places where Land Rovers where getting stuck so can't be all bad and there's the advantage that it won't rust like a Disco or cos a small fortune to service.
I bought it to use off road (done it once!) and to use to tow stuff locally to save using the truck but never actually got round to towing in it!
Cosmetically it's pretty good: some scratches which I'll have a bash at polishing out, o/s/r quarter bumper bent up slightly (again will have a go at that), electric socket for towbar needs replacing, passenger door mirror knack'd (tenner from eBay) and leading edge of bonnet has tape over it where undoubtably has rust-they all do. Bonnet doesn't seem to close 'properly' but has never come open on me and the front tyres are different sizes to the rears but all have plenty of tread.
This is the 2nd Frontera I've owned and honestly they're brilliant things, surprisingly good to drive and about a third of the price of an equivelant Disco. It's also a great way to enjoy your weekends as you can go soft roading at pay and play type places for about £25 and it's a real blast. Looking for £500 as it stands but *might* take a cheaper part exchange. Car is in Chester, Cheshire very close to M53/A55/A41/M56 and easy reach of M6 North (near Warrington) and South (near Stoke).
