Same here. Get paid for 30hrs over 3 days but usually work between 6 and 9 hours each day.
Then if I do a 4th day i get paid extra at a higher rate cash in hand

tbf unless you've a vested interest in the company ie. self employed, or you actually find your job fun and entertaining, only idiots work overtime unpaid, do you think work would give you pay for free, so why give it them.
i see my missus doing it all the time and im constantly saying, why do it, they wouldn't give an inch for you

I often work over my contracted hours by maybe 30 minutes to an hour per day unpaid.
I usually get into the office half an hour early at least everyday, but only to beat the traffic in the morning - hate sitting in town going nowhere so come early.

most people in retail management work allot more than they are paid for but this is usually reflected in their base salary

I usually work over time as i have deadlines to meet with clients - but don't get paid for this. I do it cause it needs to be done and don't want the stress that comes with not doing it.

You work in local government don't you?
They give you time back so they don't need to pay you time and a half. They are on a good number...
I know because they do it to me too.

I put in an extra hour and half most days.
Need to sort out getting paid for this at some time. Early most mornings, work through lunch and work later. Silly really!

What do you do ?
Run a vending business, but some of our machines are on sites that are open 24/7, therefore if there's an urgent problem, I've gotta go. Never been called out later than 8pm upto now tho
