anyone owned one?
any issues?
opinions?
and most importantly what should i look for when buying one?

and before anyone starts i know its corsasport but theres a few knowledgable people on here

Owned one yes.
Cambelts are issues, change every 30k and check for this to be done if you buy one.

Tapping, one that tap's stay away from, means the heads been poorly rebuilt.

steering knocking.

All gti-6's come with leather seats, electric window, air con, fogs etc.

Main thing to look for is tapping on start up, and FSH.

head gasket went on my mates. gearbox isnt cheap so make sure thats all good

Oh and make sure the engine doesnt violent jolt forward, backwards when letting on and off the power, engine mount under the ECU, teh chassis cracks, would need welding etc.

personally, it has to be done properly, alot of garges will fuk it up, get on www.306gti6.com

Theres a guy on there hes in leister, but hes a ledgend, got his own garage etc and all he does all day is gti-6's, people drive from london etc for him to do work on there cars.

My 306 isn't a GTi6 but it's over 11 years old and there's pretty much fuck all rust on it. Any rust there is is cosmetic, nothing major.

You should not get ANY rust on 306's. They are fully galvanised steel monocoque shells! Really strong shells by all accounts. Panels are thin, but generally very good shells.

Any major rust is a sign of poorly repaired accident damage.

There is some videos of tappy GTI6 engines on you tube, sounds awful. The engines in good shape do sound awesome though i will admit.

BTW, the tapping is a bent valve, repair is about 750 quid, stay away.
