would that work.....sound like it would
but i read up that some change over certain rpm how would that happen?
i read up as a general guide that 4cylinder engines produce 2 pulses per revolution
but i need to know for sure and be exact as its to do with my digial tacho

I know that the crank sensor sends the pulse reading to the ignition
the crank pulley turns twice to the cams turning one full turn,
and im unsure on the change higher up the revrange, its possible but i dont see how it changes as the pulley doesnt change

the distributer works at camshaft speeed does it not, and this is half engine speed, so surely 3000rpm is 1500 pulses?

i think that right
i need to just put in my digital tacho how many pulses in 1 revolution
then if the c20xe does change pulses higher up the rev range i need to put in that info too.
if it doesnt change then it will be ok

amount of pulses shouldn't change per revoloution. otherwise your timing would be doing something strange as its taken off the crank sensor.

So the camshafts spin at half the speed of the rest of the engine?

yes because the cam pulleys are twice the size of the crank pulley
