No, you shouldnt be able to pull the pin up with the deadlocks on, thats the point of them really, to stop people smashing the window then opening the door, makes it a bit harder for them having to climb through the window.
Its great fun locking your girlfriend in when shes been pissing you off

it will they will just be broken like mine are, you need to replace a bit on the barrel of the lock as mark said

flybikeslee - when you turn the key to the horizontal position, is it really loose, or quite tight?
If you can pull the pins up from the inside, your dead locks are nackered, which will probably explain why your alarm isn't working.
If you can put the key in the deadlock position, but it doesn't deadlock then you'll need these parts from Vauxhall:
90540614 - deadlock ring
9120412 - small barrel type thing. It is tiny.

Came to about £10 in total. They are both very tiny. No idea about fitting, got mine down when I had a service, and just paid the labour bill.
About 30mins to 1hour iirc. Can be done at home. But very fiddly, and I wouldn't fancy doing it!

Anyone with an ounce of a practicality/engineering brain (which I don't have) should manage it no problem.

I may have this same problem with mine... Although when my key is in the horizontal posiotion it feels tight to get out but i can still open the bonnet and doors?
the car has been like this for the last 2+1/2 months from when i bought it.
the alarm looks to be all in place but would need someone to look at it as im crap at all wiring at the minute lol
will i need the same bits as flybikeslee??
Any help is much appriciated.
Cheers Karl
