Atleast I know the engine will be in better condition and not ragged. And i'll waste money on swopping bits over, like the rims for example.

Both colours are

White is hard to come by in the 106GTI not many about

Always had a thing for a yellow GTI slammed on nice set of black wheels and a carbon bonnet

How will you know that?

Firstly, could just be set back to standard before selling... Secondly in standard form it could of been ragged / not looked after just as much as any other car and finally i think someone who's done everything to the car properly, spent a lot of money doing it and obviously looks after their car will have it in a better condition than say average joe blog chav.

You'll find most of the people who have spent a lot of money camming and remapping their car, have not done anything on the cheap and since they've invested a lot of money into the car, will look after it and drive it properly - i.e. not ragging it when cold, servicing regularily etc. Where as some chav who's just bought a standard 106 gti for cheap, won't really care what happens to it and probably take it to the limiter daily straight after turning the key

Just can't see how you can make that judgement, yeh fair enough if the mods have been done poorly / they're cheap budget mods etc. Bit like the way people prefere women drivers, yet most women drivers i know don't ever check their oil or coolant, and drive it round not caring whats happening under the bonnet

I see so many people look for and buy a standard 106 gti. They get it, then after a few months do the usual, exhaust + filter, suspension... then cams and remap etc.

They could've had a car sorted for not much more than they paid for it standard.

I loved my Cherry red one above them all, there pretty rare as well in that colour.

If I had to choose tho them White it would be for me.There are LOADS of the "rare" yellow ones about
