i looked into it when i left school. passed the medical and physicals but the day i was due to sign the final papers i bottled it and decided it wasn't for me. i was heading into the REME as an aviation technician.
i've thought about it again recently and came to the same conclusion, it wasn't for me.

I've considered the RAF but decided on staying on at Uni. I'm considering going in once I've finished my degree.
It's the same as any other career really, it's either the right thing for you or it isn't.

Dare I ask why do a degree? Surely it isn't related to the army?

My sister is in the army...in general I think she enjoys it. Iraq and Afghanistan have been interesting. She started as an officer though so the money wasn't too bad really..

thats the wrong mindset to have. just because you won't be infantry doesn't mean you aren't going to get shot at. they train everyone for combat for a reason.
