Went to start it today and it revved up really high then just cut out. Tried again and it just wouldnt start, tried again and it stayed running. Went into first gear, handbrake down and the car just wouldnt move at all. Felt like the handbrake was still on. Wouldnt even move in reverse.
Sounded like there was a hole in the exhaust at the weekend.
Any ideas what it could be?

Not related problems...
Handbrake cable will probs be fucked. Do you give it a good tug everytime you pull it
I can see the revving being something like the TPS/similar. Does it normally run smooth from cold?

release the handbrake in the car then underneath give it a pull where it runs across the rear beam this should release the shoes, sounds like the cable is jamming in the stupid plastic guides, plenty of wd40 or new cable needed
