I know this question is asked a thousand times, but just want to double check.
Fitted some new alloys with tires to the gf's car last weekend, and there seems to be some juddering coming from the steering wheel @ sort of 65+. She is also complaining that is pulling to the left slightly (I dont see it when im driving it), is this likely to be the balancing of the wheels not correct?
There is no banging, knocking (like when you dont tighten the nuts proper), so I'm sure the wheels went on correctly (surely you'd know if you'd crossthreaded a wheel nut/wheel was on the piss etc etc?!?)
TIA
Thanks

Balancing would be my first port of call. Where they bought new? If so, get them back to where they were bought. If second hand, get them balanced.
Depends on how badly it is pulling to the left TBH as the camber of the road does lean slightly left to aid drainage!

Wheel balance.
Does it clear up if she goes faster than 70?

Not always, but sometimes they go away if you go faster.
Either way, wheel balancing is the first port of call.

if the balancing doesnt sort it, then do the wheels fit the hubs properly and snug?Ie they may need spigot rings.the latter solved the same problem with my old alloys.

check tyre pressures first, also what size are the wheels? I have 195/50/15 astra gsi rims and they tramline like a bastard, also are they brand new rims, and has the car taken a pot hole on the side she is complaining its pulling too.
