my clutch has finaly gone

and well my friend says he has a spare engine with clutch transmission etc etc

i was looking in the halfords manual and it takes about pot flywheels and that i have to take the engine out if i have this.

just wantted to know if anyone knows if i have to take the engine out or not?

its a m reg corsa 1.4l 8v sri.

no, take the gearbox off, replace clutch and refit box.

i havnt looked yet i have just read the halfords manual and it seems there are to type of flywheel

so...

if there is a inspection plate on the gearbox its a pot type flywheel?

the question is how do i know if it is a pot or standard type
