Hi guys, can you laquer satin black, just sprayed my wheels and want a bit of shine, didnt think you should laquer them but what would happen if i did ? just give them a bit of reflection ? Any pics of satin black with laquer ?

Yeah.
It just ends up looking like gloss black.

Ooo, i was gonna respray them gloss black, so it will just be shiney black basically, cause ive sprayed them satin will i need to do anything before applying the laquer ? other than clean the wheel obviously

If they've been done a while, you may need to lightly key the paint surface so the laquer will take to it.

and make sure your laquer is slightly warm. If its a cold can, it will go white, then you'd be gutted lol!

defeats the purpose really,if you lacquer it,itll be shiney.......

I would say its similar to when i did matt black. My dash parts are matt black unlaquered where as my door handles (inside) i did matt black and then laquered them as they take a bashing - they came out gloss black ish. Pics in my garage me thinks.

you could flat the lacquer with 1600 wet n dry?so theres no shine but protective coat still there?

i just did satin black on my door handels but i did about 8 coats so thats why i didnt laqure them.. still looking ok tho not to bad... need to do NS again.... girls and there nails >
