a test to see if you are worthy?
i think i had one when i applied for ford's, all i had to do was take a mathematics and english test and then a timed test putting things on an engine to see if i was suitable.

I worked there for 5 years. I couldn't wait to get out in the end Anyway, the test is maths, solving problems, bit of team working possibly a bit of physical assesment. They will ask you loads of questions and you'll prob be there a couple of hrs, I seem to remember I was there a full day.

i done the tests and passed its pretty easy the one thing i would say is read all your instructions carefully.
I had to change a wheel timed, solve a few mechanical problems and a short written test. Its not difficult just keep cool and dont rush. I didnt take the job because something else came along but i a few of my mates work / worked there and they never had a bad word to say.

Well, there is more brown tounged, back stabbing small minded people there than in anywhere else I have ever seen. There is always someone watching you where ever you go, you get spoken to like a child when you go for the test/interview they will make it sound like it's the best place you could ever work, anyway thats enough said, the canteen is mint tho!

i've done one and seriously its nowt to worry about!!
i applied for a placement position as part of my degree. i travelled to my nearest test centre (Birmingham uni - i was in Coventry) and sat down, did 4 tests i think. one was english based, at least two maths (shape and space and arithmatic) forget the other one.
its the standard 40qs in 20mins style format. complete accurately but quickly, i barely got through to q 30 on most papers iirc but i was called back.
english paper i've honestly forgot what the q were but it wasnt hard just basic reading skills
Maths was easy. if Jill has £1.20 and John £1.70 and they want to buy packets of crips for £0.30 how many packets can they buy? If Steve has 19 marbles, of which 6 are blue, Ian has 15 marbles with 12 that are blue and Will has 12 blue marbles and 3red, how what % of blue marbles does Ian own? that sort of thing
shape and space was nets and the like, which net when folder will form the 3D shape shown.
it may be different for what job your appling for. i was bricking it but like i said i walked out having "enjoyed" the challenging task - more the time restrictions than the questions but due to this thought i had bombed....but got a letter 2weeks later for a interview!
bets of luck!
i personally found it v easy, nothing challenging

I did this for a graduate engineer post at nissan a few years back.
It consists of an english test (reading paragraphs and answering questions), a maths test (using graphs and tables) and then a mechanical test (if you turn the first cog anti-clockwise, which way will the 5th cog turn etc)
Check out the shl website for practice papers.
