I've just fitted a 400 watt amp in my corsa.....all done using the method mentioned in the tutorials threads.
the problem is......everytime I put the ignition and radio on, the amp only stays on for 45 seconds (timed it) then turns its self off.
anyone got any ideas?.....Ive checked and double checked for loose wires so it aint that.

will usually have little led's on the side of the amp one for power and one for the protection circuit, green usualy means good red = bad

check the usual things, make sure you have a good earth and a good connection on the battery and check for any shorts in the circuit, one thing i found on a friends car is he had the earth and power cables on the wrong way around
personaly on my car i have 4guage wiring through out but i have a 0gauge earth wire 'just incase' and to quickly take any un wanted power from the amp
