I'm interested in a car, but it's located in the Isle of Lewis. So I google'd where it was, and....

Anybody live there? Or even better, does anybody know how to get there? How often are boats etc, It's just tourist info on google.

I've been there - lovely part of the world - you can get ferries to all the outer hebrides from Uig on the Isle Of Skye.

Stay in Inverness or Ullapool for the night,

Inverness is closer to you, decent night out, couple of travel lodges

better off getting the train to inverness

then from inverness to kyle, then ferry to lewis

sleep on the train, rather than drive there and back

Alex, i'd go on the train with a building society cheque for the amount for the car. That way you can drive it home.

Used to go out with a girl from lewis. Lovely part of the country, easy to get to. glasgow, perth inverness then accross to ullapool.

ferrys are twice a day, about £100 for you and a car return IIRC

i have managed ullapool from ayr in around 4hours before.

ferry takes about 2 or 3 hours off the top of my head
